The lightsaber " Blade plug " is a safety accessory used to cover a lightsaber's transmitter when the blade is removed. It also enhances the lightsaber's appearance and helps prevent glare by slightly dimming the light. The Neo chip contains 7 addressable LEDs that illuminate the attached blade connector when the lightsaber is powered on.
