The Audio Chip Dark Side is a speaker and chassis upgrade that was produced in collaboration with Smugglers Outpost. It houses an additional S.O. 28 mm Dark Side 3 W 4 Ω woofer with a quick-connect PCB in a fully CNC-machined red Delrin enclosure. The Dark Side takes the characteristic Smugglers Outpost sound and attenuates the highs while boosting the mids and lows for a deeper sound with extra bass. It goes best with darker, grittier sound font configurations. Switching between audio chips is straightforward and requires no technical skills (e.g. soldering).
